Latham became a Henry Moore Scholar and studied print-making at the Royal College of Art between 1982 and 1985. Here he was taught by; Alistair Grant, Alf Dunn, Chris Orr, Terry Frost, Patrick Heron, Eduardo Paolozzi, Keith Critchlow, Paul Huxley and Christopher Frayling.
