The experimental work carried out during Latham’s time at the IBM Scientific Research Centre represented a new Renaissance between the arts and sciences. It was akin to the work carried out by Renaissance artists like Leonardo da Vinci where art and science were employed alongside each other. Latham was using the same Euclidean Maths and perspective created by the artists of the Renaissance.
